Training
Whilst I get a little more information on here my blog contains
much information on the training involved.
Major race schedule (2008):
- April 26th - Woldsman - my first 50 mile ultra, sore knees and novice mistakes all around"
- June 7th - Wharefdale Marathon - 2500ft+ of ascent, difficuly terrain, was very warm - 5 hrs
- June 14th - Swaledale Marathon - More of the above with only a weeks rest and more climbing - 4 hrs 32
- June 29th - Humber Bridge Half Marathon - Undulating road half marathon - drinking beer in spain. DNS
- September 15th - Nottingham Road Marathon - Flat road half marathon - 13.1 miles 1hr50, 26.2 miles 4:37 - whoops
- October 15th - Grantham to Nottingham - 33 miles. Completed, not a race - great day out
- December 6th - Beacons Ultra - 48 miles in two loops from Brecon - 10hrs40
- December 13th - RR50 - 58 miles of mud, plouged fields, tree plastic, rain, sleet and no rest from Brecon - 12hrs
